Your garden is alive! From the insects buzzing about the flowers right down deep into the soil that surrounds their roots. Come learn about the colorful and diverse animals that inhabit your garden and soil, learn about our dependence on pollination and fun things you can do to help pollinators. See a live ant farm and earth worm bin. Visit the library's Pizza Garden and a native bee home.

The World of Bees at New Canaan!

It's a new look and a new home - but the World of Bees is still here! This new exhibit opened March 2nd at the New Canaan Nature Center.  Come learn about the importance and diversity of bees. They are a colorful, diverse and fun group of organisms! Come play in a Hive Castle, be a Queen bee, a worker bee, a grocer bee, a guard bee, do the waggle dance. See the world through a bee's eyes, learn about foods pollinated by bees, be a butterfly, see real bee specimens and a 17 million year old bee. Feel a huge bumblebee, dress up like a beekeeper to check a hive and more!

The World of Bees - Virtual Tour




The World of Bees is an interactive children's exhibit about bee diversity and conservation hosted by the Hudson Highlands Nature Museum in Cornwall on Hudson, New York. Check out the virtual tour. This exhibit will be up until December of 2012, so please visit!
